Desert yards do not make bags of grass clippings. They make palm fronds with saw-tooth edges, thorny mesquite and palo verde limbs, oleander hedges that have been growing for twenty years, and the occasional fallen cactus. None of that fits in a green bin, and most of it does not fit in your car.
Pinkies hauls yard waste and landscaping debris across the Phoenix metro in one 14-yard dump trailer. You point at the pile, we load it, rake up the leftovers and take it away in the same visit.
Palm fronds and tree trimmings
Fan palm and date palm fronds are bulky, sharp and surprisingly heavy when green. A trimming on a couple of tall palms can fill a good part of the trailer. We load them by hand with heavy gloves, so you do not have to bundle them or cut them down to bin length.
The same goes for mesquite, palo verde, ficus and eucalyptus limbs after a tree service or a weekend with a chainsaw. If a crew did the cutting and left the pile, or you had a citrus tree or an old oleander row taken out, the branches, trunk sections and roots can all go in one load. Trunk pieces just need to be cut small enough for two people to lift.
Monsoon storm cleanup
From July through September, monsoon storms drop branches, fronds and sometimes whole trees across yards, driveways and pools. The week after a big storm is busy for everyone. Text us a photo of the damage and your ZIP. Jobs near our base in Cave Creek and North Phoenix are the easiest to fit in same-day, and we work the rest of the Valley as the route allows.
Storm debris often comes with broken patio furniture, torn shade sails and fence panels. Those can go in the same load.
Rock, decomposed granite and other heavy material
Old landscaping rock, decomposed granite, pavers, bricks and dirt are a different animal. A trailer of rock weighs many times what a trailer of fronds does, so heavy material is quoted by weight instead of by trailer space. Tell us up front if there is rock or dirt in the pile so the quote is right and nothing changes when we show up.
- Palm fronds and palm trunk sections
- Mesquite, palo verde, ficus and eucalyptus limbs
- Oleander, bougainvillea and hedge trimmings
- Downed cactus and agave, in liftable pieces
- Citrus tree removal debris
- Old drip line, edging, shade sails and broken patio furniture
- Rock, DG, pavers and dirt (quoted by weight)
Clearing out before a desert landscape makeover
A lot of Valley homeowners are pulling out old grass, overgrown shrubs and tired rock to redo the yard. Clear the old material out before the new rock and plants arrive and your landscaper has room to work. If the project also includes a shed tear-down or a pile of construction debris from a patio remodel, we can take it on the same trip.
In Scottsdale and other HOA neighborhoods, a debris pile sitting by the curb waiting for bulk trash day can draw a letter. We load straight from the backyard or side yard, so nothing has to sit out front.
