Most couch removal calls start the same way: a new sofa is being delivered Thursday and the old one has to be gone by then. Or the couch has been sitting in the garage since the move, slowly collecting dust and packrats. Either way, a single couch is one of the jobs we do most, and it is priced as a single item at $149, with loading, hauling and disposal included.
Text a photo to (206) 554-1524 and tell us where it sits. Ground floor, second floor, back patio or the curb all work. We confirm the price when we arrive, before anything moves.
Sectionals, sleepers and recliners
Not every couch is the same job. A three-piece sectional comes apart at the brackets and goes out in sections. A sleeper sofa hides a steel fold-out frame that can push it past 200 pounds, so we tip it on end and keep the mechanism closed while it travels. Power recliners have motors and cords we tuck in so nothing snags on a door frame.
If you have a couch plus a loveseat, a chair and a coffee table, that usually moves out of single-item territory and into a half trailer. We tell you which size it is from the photo so there is no guessing.

Stairs, tight halls and second floors
Stairs are fine. We measure the turn first, take off legs and cushions, and pad the corners so the walls and railings make it through too. If a piece went in through a door that has since been narrowed by a remodel, we will talk through options before anyone starts pulling.
Apartment and condo pickups in places like Tempe and Scottsdale often mean elevators, breezeways and a long walk to the parking lot. Tell us the building and unit level when you text so we plan the time right.
Will my couch get donated?
We try. Usable furniture goes to local donation partners before anything goes to the transfer station. The honest part is that donation centers are picky, and they get to be. Couches with stains, tears, pet hair, smoke smell or broken frames are usually turned away, so those go to disposal.
If your couch is in good shape, mention it. Clean, intact pieces with no pet damage have the best shot at a second home. Metal frames from sleepers and recliners go to the metal recycler either way.
Pricing and timing
One couch or one large piece of furniture is $149 flat. A living room or bedroom set typically fits in a half trailer at $299. Clearing a whole house of furniture is where the $599 full trailer comes in. Same-day pickup happens when the route has room, especially on the north side near North Phoenix. If the old couch is part of a bigger clear-out, look at our garage cleanout or mattress removal pages too.
